Hoi An

Hoi An was a cultural experience for us all. We visited local markets, took part in a traditional cooking class, and explored the stunning evening shopping strip—alive with lights, lanterns, and a vibrant atmosphere, not to mention a bargain or two!

Interestingly, a local law requires every shop in Hoi An to hang lanterns from their facade. As the sun sets, these lanterns light up the town in a warm glow of yellow, red, and green, creating a truly magical scene.

The extra day in Hoi An gave us all some much-needed time to rest, recharge, and reconnect with loved ones at home. We have now arrived safely in Hanoi to enter the final leg of our journey, spending time in the National capital and then onto and Ha Long Bay for Anzac Day.
