So, what do you need to pack for the study tour?
Items to pack - overview
5 Keep
to a minimum – we will be quite mobile and large cumbersome bags are not advised
5 Passport:
name clearly on very back outer page of actual passport. The passport is also
in a plastic slipcover, or you may have a special passport cover, once again on
the very front of the protected cover have recipient’s name. (Note: this makes it easier when giving out
passports when required). You will give
your passport to an allocated supervising teacher at the airport and at all
other times, even on the flight, The allocated teacher will keep all student
passports and distribute as required for customs transit etc.

x photocopies of passport (one kept in main luggage bag and one in small carry
bag/backpack)
5 It
is not recommended that you bring your laptop due to issues re: size, airport security hassle, breakage and
security
5 Make
sure clothing is labelled
5 Put a copy
of name, address
and telephone numbers in each
bag in case of loss.

repellent - mosquito spray (see Health Information sheet for details).

medical kit - containing hydrolyte, band aids, headache tablets, cold and flu
medication, gastro tablets, throat lozenges, tissues etc. Gastrolyte and
Dukoral tablets to be included.
5 Sunburn cream – 50+
5 Trousers
– casual – at least 2 pairs
– to
be lightweight long trousers
and shorts
5 Shirts – neat casual –
t-shirt/polo shirt – short and long sleeved.
You will be given a
tour polo shirt at the
airport

trouser/skirt and black shoes for formal ceremonies on tour

and underwear – at least 6. There will be opportunities to wash clothes –
beware of slow drying cotton clothing
5 No need for jumpers but at least 5 changes of light weight/cool clothes – it will
be very hot and
sweaty in Vietnam

and shoes for nighttime – thongs only for the
pool
